Ingredients: 2 lbs. fresh green beans, washed and trimmed 1/3 cup slivered almonds, blanched 2 Tablespoons olive oil 2 Tablespoons lemon juice 1 Tablespoon toasted sesame oil 2 Tablespoon freshly chopped thyme salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions: 1 Place green beans in a large steamer basket and steam for 3-5 minutes or until tender. Place beans in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper, set aside.
2 In a small non-stick skillet heat the olive oil over a medium-high heat, add the blanched almonds and cook for 3-5 minutes or until the almonds are golden brown. Remove skillet from heat, add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour almond mixture over green beans and toss together.
